In a peaceful farming village surrounded by wide open fields lived a hardworking farmer named Mahadev. Farming had been his family’s occupation for generations. He had learned from his father that nature works in cycles and that every season carries its own lesson. Mahadev believed that patience, preparation, and faith were just as important as hard work in farming.
One year, after carefully ploughing the land and sowing seeds, the rains did not arrive on time. Days turned into weeks, and the sun grew harsher. The soil became dry and cracked, and the small seeds lying beneath the earth waited silently for water.
Many farmers in the village started losing hope. Some stopped visiting their fields because they believed the crops would never grow. Others complained that their hard work had gone to waste.
But Mahadev continued going to his field every single day. He loosened the soil so it would absorb water when rain arrived. He removed weeds and checked the soil carefully. Even when people laughed at him, he calmly replied, “My responsibility is to prepare the field. The rain will do its work when the time is right.”
Weeks later, dark clouds finally appeared in the sky. Thunder echoed across the village, and heavy rain began to fall. The dry soil slowly soaked in the water. Because Mahadev had kept his land prepared, the seeds quickly began to sprout.
Within a few weeks, Mahadev’s field turned green with healthy crops, while many other fields struggled to grow. The villagers realized an important truth that day success often comes to those who stay patient, hopeful, and prepared even when results are not visible.
Preparation during difficult times determines success when opportunity arrives. People who remain patient, disciplined, and hopeful even during uncertainty are the ones who benefit the most when the right moment comes.

एका शांत गावात महादेव नावाचा मेहनती शेतकरी राहत होता. त्याच्या कुटुंबात पिढ्यानपिढ्या शेती केली जात होती. वडिलांनी त्याला शिकवलं होतं की निसर्गाचा प्रत्येक ऋतू काहीतरी शिकवून जातो. महादेवचा विश्वास होता की मेहनतीसोबत संयम आणि तयारीही तितकीच महत्त्वाची असते.
एका वर्षी त्याने काळजीपूर्वक शेत नांगरून बियाणे पेरले. पण पाऊस वेळेवर आला नाही. दिवस गेले, आठवडे गेले. उन्हं वाढत गेली आणि माती कोरडी पडू लागली.
गावातील अनेक शेतकऱ्यांनी आशा सोडली. काहींनी शेतात जाणंही बंद केलं. त्यांना वाटलं की या वर्षी पीक येणार नाही.
पण महादेव रोज शेतात जात राहिला. तो माती हलकी करत होता, तण काढत होता आणि शेत पावसासाठी तयार ठेवत होता. लोकांनी विचारलं, “पाऊसच नाही, मग एवढी मेहनत कशासाठी?”
महादेव शांतपणे म्हणाला, “आपलं काम तयारी करणं आहे. पाऊस आला की जमीन तयार असायला हवी.”
काही दिवसांनी आकाशात काळे ढग जमले आणि जोरदार पाऊस सुरू झाला.
महादेवचं शेत लवकर हिरवं झालं. इतर शेतांमध्ये मात्र पीक नीट उगवलं नाही. त्या दिवशी गावकऱ्यांना समजलं की संयम, तयारी आणि विश्वास असलेल्यांनाच शेवटी यश मिळतं.
कठीण काळात केलेली तयारीच योग्य संधी आल्यावर यश मिळवून देते. अनिश्चिततेच्या काळातही संयम, शिस्त आणि विश्वास ठेवणारे लोकच शेवटी सर्वात जास्त यशस्वी होतात.
